SCE is offering three Charge Ready program options to business and public sector stakeholders who want to be part of California’s electric vehicle (EV) future by installing charging equipment. Commercial, multi-family, and public sector properties of all types may be eligible for savings.
EV Charging Incentives and Rebates
In addition to broad-scale electric vehicle incentives, states and utilities provide incentive programs, rebates, and tax credits specifically for purchasing and installing EV charging equipment across the country. You can learn about vehicle tax credits and rebates, income-based incentives, charging station incentives, local utility electricity discounts, and special driving perks for electric vehicles.
Powering Your Transition to Electric Vehicles
As the world embraces the benefits of electric vehicles (EVs), governments and organizations are taking proactive steps to support this clean transportation revolution. One of the ways they're encouraging the adoption of EVs is through various incentives and grants for EV charging infrastructure.
These incentives not only make it more affordable for businesses and individuals to install charging stations but also contribute to building a sustainable and convenient charging network. In this article, we will explore the exciting incentives and grants available for EV charging and how they can help power your transition to electric mobility.
EV Charger Tax Credit
Businesses that install new EV chargers or EV charger equipment can also benefit from a tax incentive of up to 30% of the total cost of equipment and installation. But they will have to meet certain labor and construction requirements to be eligible to claim the full incentive.
Grants and Rebates
Governments, local communities, and utility companies provide grants and funding programs to businesses and organizations for the installation of EV charging stations. These programs aim to expand charging infrastructure and make it accessible to a wider range of users.
Infrastructure Upgrades
Utility companies may offer financial assistance or grants to support the installation of EV charging infrastructure, especially in public areas or places of high EV traffic. This collaboration helps expand the charging network and promotes widespread EV adoption.
"We’re not going to go electric fast enough if we don’t have the ability to eliminate range anxiety for people and to be able to have them plug in wherever they live, wherever they work, wherever they want to head."
