Washington EV Charging Grant – Level 2 Charging Where You Are

Washington is investing in clean transportation, and now’s your chance to bring EV charging to your site. Whether you're managing a multifamily property, a fleet, or a public space, you may be eligible for significant funding to install Level 2 EV chargers.

Application Window: July 8 – August 21, 2025

  • Incentive: Covers up to 80% of project costs, or up to $10,000 per EV charging port
  • Who Can Apply: Business, government, non-profit organizations in Washington

  • Funding supports projects that install 4 to 10 Level 2 plugs
  • Projects in overburdened communities may qualify for 100% funding
  • All installations must be completed within one year of grant award

Required Application Documents

1. Completed Online Application Form

  • Available through the Washington State Department of Ecology's online grants platform (via EAGL).

2. Project Budget and Match Documentation

  • Detailed cost breakdown of the proposed project

  • Documentation of matching funds (if applicable), including source and amount

3. Site Plan or Map

  • Clear diagram or map showing where the chargers will be installed

  • Indicate number of plugs, ADA access, and utility access

4. Charger Specifications

  • Product datasheets or technical specifications for proposed EV chargers

  • Must demonstrate compliance with minimum output, networking, and safety standards

5. Proof of Eligibility

  • Documentation proving your status as a business, non-profit, public agency, or tribal entity

6. Signed Site Host Agreement (if applicable)

  • Required if the applicant is not the property owner

  • Confirms permission to install and operate chargers at the site

7. Project Timeline

  • Include estimated start and completion dates

     

  • All projects must be completed within one year of grant execution
